Why we started

We started LAIyer Two because we kept seeing the same thing: businesses that knew AI mattered and had no idea where to start, while the ground kept moving under them. Everywhere we looked, AI was either overhyped or bolted onto old ways of working and sold as magic by people who couldn't explain it. We wanted to be the opposite. Clear. Honest. Useful. The people who tell you where AI actually fits your business, do the work, and keep the judgment with your team. That's the whole idea.

Why the name

It's "Layer" with the AI spelled into it, because that's where we sit. Layer 1 is what your business needs: the request, the job to be done. Layer 3 is the AI models, which are already good and know nothing about you. Layer 2 is everything in between: your procedures, your tools, your know-how, written down in a form AI can use. That layer is what we build. It's the part that turns AI that sounds clever into AI that gets your work done.
